Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, announced a set of decisions to preserve Sudan, during a speech today.
The decisions announced by Al-Burhan were as follows:
1- Declaring a state of emergency throughout the country
2- Full adherence to and motherly commitment to what is stated in the constitutional document.
3- Suspension of Articles 11, 12, 15, 16, 24-3, 71 and 72 of the Constitutional Document with full commitment to them and the peace agreement.
4- Dissolving the Transitional Sovereignty Council and dismissing its members.
5- Dissolution of the Council of Ministers.
6 - Termination of the mandate of the governors of the states.
7- Exempting the undersecretaries of the ministries.
8- General managers are tasked with facilitating the working wheel
9 - Freezing the work of the Empowerment Removal Committee until its work is reviewed.
