The Saudi Gymnastics Federation, headed by Abdulelah Abu Al-Rish, in cooperation with the Egyptian Federation headed by Ihab Amin, succeeded in establishing a cooperation protocol between the two federations in establishing the first female artistic gymnastics championship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

This is the first time that the Saudi Artistic Gymnastics Federation has included Insat within its branches, and a special tournament is organized for it.

 

The Egyptian Federation sent a working group of 6 people led by Lamia Ali Abdel Rahman, a member of the board of directors, Ola Ali Abdel Halim, the international referee, Suad Ahmed, the international referee, Princess Sharaf, Salma Al-Saeed and Rodina Tariq Diab, to participate with the Saudi Federation in organizing the sports event for the first time, and the tournament achieved great success on all levels, whether organizational, technical, arbitration or administrative.

 

This comes within the framework of the fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian Federation and the Saudi Federation within a cooperation protocol between the two federations to establish the first female gymnastics championship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. And the Chairman of the Technical Committee Khaled Al-Omari and the rest of the federation’s staff, special thanks and appreciation to his counterpart Al-Masry for the efforts and cooperation between the two federations for the success of the tournament.

 

Women's sports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia receives great support.

 

The Egyptian and Saudi federations signed a cooperation protocol to take care of training, arbitration and spreading gymnastics in the Kingdom by supplying the Kingdom with female coaches to create a base for the game and to organize special training courses for male and female coaches in the Kingdom.

 

The Egyptian Gymnastics Federation also organized arbitration courses for the weight and advancement of referees inside the Kingdom during the last period, and the Saudi Federation honored the Egyptian referees and the working group participating in the tournament.

 

Rakan Al-Fuhaid, Executive Director of the Saudi Gymnastics Federation, said that cooperation with the Egyptian Federation is a trend that we seek to strengthen in the coming period, in coordination with the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee.

 

Al-Fuhaid stressed that the main objective of activating such partnerships focuses entirely on achieving the higher goals of the sports sector led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Tarik Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee.

 

The Executive Director of the Saudi Federation praised the fruitful cooperation with his Egyptian counterpart in organizing the first artistic gymnastics championship for women, which had a great impact on the success of the tournament.

 

It is noteworthy that Rakan Al-Fuhaid, Executive Director of the Saudi Gymnastics Federation, recently participated in the AFC Congress in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, and presented the Kingdom's vision during the coming period in promoting the sport of gymnastics.
