Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General Supervising the Media and Communication Sector, will participate in the work of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, which will hold its sixth session tomorrow, Tuesday, and continue until next Thursday, under the slogan “Dialogue and Prospects for Cooperation” in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on behalf of Ahmed Abu Al-Ghait Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
This was stated in a statement issued by the Arab League on Monday.
This group, which includes elite figures, scholars and experts, is a regular framework for strategic dialogue on urgent challenges and current issues of concern to the relations of the Russian Federation with the Islamic world, approaches aimed at serving security and stability, combating terrorism and extremist currents, promoting dialogue between cultures, religions and civilizations, and contributing to enriching The balance of the existing partnership between the two sides in its various humanitarian, political, economic, cultural and media dimensions.
The Strategic Vision Group Russia - Islamic World was established in 2006 in light of Russia's granting of membership in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as an observer, and it includes representatives of a group of member countries of this organization.
